Grandma in New York! Polish Cleaning Lady in New York City
I know, I know… it may sound dull and old-fashioned, but whoever believes that concept is mistaken because the truth is that Halina has been a grandmother for three months now (three months exactly today).
Her granddaughter, Anita, gave Halina and the whole family, a kg. 3.066 bundle of happiness, and 50 cm of joy. This is the reason that she has returned to Poland and is there staying there for some time. However, many would agree that she is not your typical grandmother because she likes when guys acknowledge her charms, and she doesn’t like putting on the company shirts! because it does not highlight femininity.
I hope that her daughters, Kate and Sarah, and especially her husband, Jarek, won’t be angry when they find out her secret: that while she walks her dog, Jessy, guys sometimes follow her with their eyes and cupids! Of course without any success, for Halina is led by good Christian principles –a husband is only one, and as she says, “it is good to live in accordance with their own conscience”.
The most important thing for her is her family; moreover to be close to them is her biggest dream. That is why she wants to organize family gatherings here in New York, but in the Polish fashion, of course, with the table set sometimes with even with 6 dishes, which are prepared with the help of her husband. There will also be drinks, and we’ll our grandmother will be enjoying vanilla or caramel vodka with pineapple juice. But, it is not needed to produce joy because there is no shortage of good humor when she’s sober!
Moreover, even when she bakes cakes, all of which taste great, she sings whatever earworm has flown in her ear. Recently singing Kukulska’s “the more of you, the less it is”.
Although she likes elegant clothes when she is home she isn’t parading in a bathrobe, sometimes she is without makeup … instead she is laid back even not.
Besides teasing her meticulousness, which she says does not decide about life and not have a considerable influence on the course of events. Although she is open, laughs often and loves comedies – Watch out! It is easy to upset her, and if you are not her husband, she will not be very quiet.
Seriously now, she is happy and wants to go back to New York because, as she says here art is on the streets, within hands reach, and that it does not take
money to take advantage of it. Yes, not only she likes soul and pop music for a modern grandmother befits to see her near Central Park with eyes gazing at guys
dancing because she also loves Breakdancing! Moreover she reads a lot, so on the
subway, you will see her with an ebook!
Sorry, but I guess I forgot to start from the beginning. Halina was a businesswoman in Poland she own grocery store .. I know … I know – you think the blonde…, not true she is brunette from Bialegostoku.
She rules the house. Partnership with her husband: she cleans but her husband with extraordinary precision husband is vacuuming. He loves to drive a car. And as you can see on the photo she is passionate about Fishing and says that in in her life she caught a lot of fish.
This is a romantic person love musicals and theater, recently she watched “Old Lady Visits” with Stuhr and Janda, “. And in New York she has emerge in theatre at famous Tribeca Film Center on 375 Greenwich Street by turning fire alarm on! Of course it wasn’t her fault.
She newer give up, persistently learns English using the every occasion!
